Welcome to Summer In Downtown Chicago

Chicago Summer Guide will be updated this weekend, April 19 & 20, 2008. Please check back then!
Chicago skyline imageSummer in Chicago is a magical time. After months and months of basically psychotic weather (it’s cold - it’s warm - it’s snowing - it’s hailing - it’s humid - it’s dry - ACK!), everyone heads outside. If you’re a Chicagoan and work in an office, you actually feel guilty about being inside, like you’re missing out on something.

And most likely, you are.

If you’re visiting, lucky you. You get all the good stuff without all the drama.

Summer in Chicago means shopping outside for antiques and art, riding a ferris wheel and a trolley. It means listening to free concerts at Millennium Park and Grant Park and Navy Pier. It means shedding the winter weight by riding a bike, running, walking, or inline skating along the lakefront.

There are tours by boat or by foot or by bike or by Segway. There are parades and festivals and golf and tennis.

Check the links to the left to find information on Summer in Downtown Chicago. It’s always being updated, so come back often. Enjoy!
